MetroInfo website.

A special shuttle service between the Ferrymead Bridge and Sumner will begin on Monday 21 March. The shuttle will run every 30 minutes during the day, and will connect with buses to the city from Ferrymead.

Heavy vehicles such as buses cannot currently cross the Ferrymead bridge due to a weight restriction.

The shuttle service will begin and end at the first stop on the Sumner side of the Ferrymead bridge. Passengers will need to walk across the bridge to connect with buses to the city, which will be waiting on the other side. While not ideal, this is the best available option at the moment.

From Monday to Saturday the Shuttle will depart Sumner at half hourly at ten minutes past and 40 minutes past each hour. The first bus will depart at 6:10 am and the last bus at 10:10 pm. The return trips will depart from the bus stop outside Scott Park half hourly at 25 and 55 minutes past each hour, with the first bus at 6:25 am and the last bus at 9:55 pm. Sunday times will be advised next week.

School buses will be provided for students from Monday to Friday departing Sumner at 7:00 am and 11:00 am, and departing from outside Scott Park at 4:40 pm and 7:00 pm.

Metro Bus services will remain free to all passengers until Sunday 27 March.

If you have lost your Metrocard, you will be able to get a replacement from Wednesday 23 March from the Bealey Ave and Hospital Parkside terminuses, and at the Rangiora and Rolleston Libraries.
